UMass Boston Commencement

Interstate Rental Service provides the equipment and services required to produce special events on a rental basis. For major events, we provide the overall coordination necessary to accommodate complex requirements of municipalities, the public, the press, corporations, and institutions. While we are well-known for our work on large events, we also serve caterers and individuals. Orders as small as 12 chairs are common.

Interstate Rental Service has been the general contractor for the Boston Marathon since 1970. Edward Jacobs, president of the company since 1979, is the technical producer for all physical aspects of the race. We also specialize in graduation ceremonies, providing complete services to more than 35 schools in the 4-week commencement season.
